Volvo Approves rCB

Volvo approves Enviro’s recycled carbon black

Gothenburg, Sweden – Volvo Car Corp. has approved the use of recycled carbon black in chassis plugs, supplier of the material Enviro has recently announced.

Manufactured by AnVa Polytech, the rubber plugs contain 100 percent recycled carbon black, according to Gothenburg-based Enviro.

The company supplies full-scale recycling plants to industrial investors and operates its own plant for tire waste in Åsensbruk, Sweden.

Enviro’s patented pyrolysis process features a special heat distribution technology. This, it said, can produce high and consistent quality N550-equivalent recycled carbon black.

This recognition of rCB as a material for use in a vehicle component is a great step forwards for the rCB sector.
